Civilex Wins Major Works at Murra Warra Wind Farm
Civilex awarded major works on the Murra Wurra Wind Farm. Civilex will complete the previously published early works stage 1 package and will now stay on in the regional north-western township of Murra Warra after being awarded the next major works construction tender for the Project Turbine Foundations.
Civilex is proud to announce their successful tender win of the Murra Warra Wind Farm major project works which includes the supply and installation of a total of 61 turbine concrete foundations. Contracted to Downer, the major works project scope for Civilex will include installing 20m diameter foundations which will incorporate 620m3 of concrete and 77 tons of steel per foundation.

The extent of the works also includes:
– 89,966m3 of fill to excavate out for the foundations
– 4,697 ton of steel to supply and install
– 37,820m3 of concrete to pour.
Civilex looks forward to continuing work on Murra Warra Wind Farm, a world-class project which once constructed will be one of the highest performing wind farms in the southern hemisphere. The project is currently owned by project developer RES Australia and Macquarie Capital.
