Acknowledging HSEQ at Civilex
The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, subcontractors and the communities in which we work are integral to the way we operate. Equally vital is environment and quality across all the projects we undertake. The health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) of our work is valued and integral to the way we operate. HSEQ drives the behaviours that underpin our positive safety culture of no harm.
This month, we recognise Ben Rossignuolo for his excellence in quality. Ben’s outstanding stakeholder management and safety in design innovation helped achieve best for ICL Project Dry Mix Bagging Plant, Warehouse and Bagging Facility project.
Ben went above and beyond during the mobilisation phase when he presented our client with a services re-design proposal that was accepted. Although this is not traditionally a supervisor’s role, Ben liaised with electrical and hydraulics contractors and design consultants to subsequently have his design options (CAD drawings with scaled cross-sections) approved.
The improvements included a decrease in the amount of excavation and materials required and trench depths not exceeding one meter (in line with Safety 7) which improved worker safety, reduced impact to facility operations and mitigated any potential commencement delays.
At Civilex, we live by our mantra – safe today to enjoy tomorrow – reinforcing the importance of HSEQ, ensuring all employees return home safe and sound to their family and friends. At Civilex, we encourage employees to speak about safety, identify unsafe practices or actions, inspire others to do the right thing and maintain safe working environments.
